I haven't bought the hype on it yet...somebody sell it on me. I know nothing about how the cups actually work.

I figure the next coffeemaker purchase I make will be one of those fancy espresso/coffee maker with built in bean grinding. But I'm years off from being able to justify the cost of that.

Turn machine on... wait about 2 minutes...

Put in water (if necessary)... put K-cup in machine... close... hit button... coffee.

Take K-cup out... throw away... drink coffee.

Very simple, and as Inmicus said, no waste and everybody can make whatever flavor/type of coffee they want.

My wife even has a little adapter that allows her to brew regular coffee grounds in ours at home.

The one we have at the office doesn't have a reservoir, so you just fill your cup, pour in the water, and make one cup at a time that way.

that's about it...yup...we have the reusable cup as well...works like a damn...it's fast and great on work days or you just want a quick cup of coffee without brewing a pot.

pretty smart little invention actually...I'm sure that dude or dudette ain't hurting for $$ anymore

Yeah, I've heard of that. I need to check into it.

The "My K Cup" is the only reason I am still using this coffee maker. It actually makes coffee drinking cheaper because you are only brewing one cup at a time, and not pouring out the rest of a cold pit of coffee you didn't drink. The key to it is to buy extra screen inserts so you can brew 2-3 cups in a row. This is very helpful if you want to make more than one cup at a time.
