People happy about us facing a depleted Giants team.

The fug is wrong with you?

If you want us to be respected, beating a maligned Giants team at home, primetime or not, is not the way to do it. Sack up. I wish they were healthy so we could legitimately claim to have shat on them when we win.

I understand your point, but a win is a win......and who cares whether fans can "claim" that we shat on them.

Wins are hard to come by in this league and injuries are a part of it. If they have an injury that gives us an advantage, I am all for it.

If you think a win against the Giants in their current state is cool, then you leave me no choice other than to assume you're a Duke fan and you are ecstatic with their 2009 national championship season when they played absolutely no one in the tourney the whole way through. I'm sorry. You've brought this on yourself.

Dude, what the hell are you talking about.

I don't give a rat's ass what anybody thinks of me or of my

football team or the way they win football games. I just don't care.................

just win baby!

I'm tired of fu*king losing.

I get the point about a true "statement win" versus giving the media talking heads fodder to discount the Panthers and focus on the woes of the Giants, just like we've heard all week - it hasn't been about the Panthers win, it's been about the Saints and what their problems are.

But to echo what others have said, when you start piling up wins, those talking heads have to take notice regardless of how you got the wins, and respect will come from the win-loss record.

It would be just as damaging to lose to a so-called depleted team that you need these wins that much more to give this team the validation it needs.

Who is 100% as the season progresses? Injuries are part of the game. Right now we have guys like Davis and Stewart and Bell who are gamerime decisions. Even if they play they likely wont be 100%. Plus some coaches are more cautious than others about playing guys who are nicked up.

The reality is that they are going to suit up the best guys they can find and so are we. Who theey are is up to them. If we win it is great no matter what. The only people blaming injuries if we win are butt hurt Giants fans and you. I can live with that.

So we shouldn't want a win anymore?

exactly.

i just don't get the point of this thread.

the giants aren't at full strength so this game doesn't matter so much? what's the point in playing the game?

screw it.

a win is a win is a win. i've said it before, there are no asterisks in the win column unless cheating is involved.

what are we or the team supposed to do about it? cry and whine because we don't get to play the giants at full strength? meh...

btw...the giants will be playing us with just about the same group of players they had when they beat the pats in the superbowl. they had no nicks. they had no bradshaw.

that RT? people have been saying he sucks anyways...and that's coming from giants fans so no big loss there.

respect? it comes after winsPERIOD

it's not the panthers fault that the giants are nicked up and missing players. all that matters...and i mean ALL that matters is that we beat the team that they put out on the field. all that matters is that we have enough wins to get into the playoffs. all that matters is that we win, playing the game with a good honest effort.

you think anyone who beat us last year and got into the playoffs said they wished they were playing us at full strength? no. why? because they knew that winning was the only thing that mattered.

Losing Ahmad Badshaw is not like us losing stewart(which is possible). Giants fans could not be happier about Diehl coming out of the lineup. Hixon is third string.

They are also getting back some much needed help in the secondary.

Nicks is a tough loss no doubt, but we may be without some players too.

We have lost key players to games and more season injuries in the past 10 years or so that anyone else out there. That never got us any sympathy.
