shameless plug for me but but if you pm your email I can do a referral for you and we both save some $$

There’s no better time to refer your friends to DIRECTV.

Why? Because for every friend who signs up for DIRECTV you get $100 in bill credits. Refer just two friends and you’ve covered the cost of NFL SUNDAY TICKET. With your referral, your friends also save an additional $100 on top of their new customer savings. What are you waiting for? Football season is right around the corner. You can refer up to 10 friends per year for a total savings of $1000!

Would love to man, but aside from the 10 people that have already asked me this... my dad has it and is first in line, sorry. :)

Since TWC got NFLN now we may not switch...we'll see. I'm getting resistance from the wife, she doesn't really want to part ways with our land line phone for some reason, and that would go if we got rid of TWC.

My wife approached me this weekend wanting to cancel directv to save money.

Noooooo my sportz! :-(

This would have been my reply...

Fortunately for me, my wife has really gotten into football... she is utterly obsessed with her fantasy team now... aside from the phone thing, she was down with getting DirecTV so we wouldn't miss the Thursday night games, now that that isn't an issue, she doesn't want to switch.

For what it is it works well if your on a budget. Check out nettalk duo once you get your internet something like 50.00 first year and then 29.00 each year but you only get 3k minutes a month. It does work better than magic jack. Comes with voicemail, caller id.

http://www.nettalk.com/ I'm using it in one of our rentals here in the mountains with dry loop dsl and it works. You can/might be able to port your current number but that is something to check on.
