Meow's Week 3 Photoshopped Predictions

Short week... Plus my baby girl is due any day now so I'll be making this a quickie...

week_3_by_eastcoastsurfer12-d5fbotq.jpg

Llllllllllets get ready to Ruuuummmmbllllllee!!!!

Both teams have major momentum coming off week 2 with a win each. The primetime fight will be a big step, for either team, towards the Belt. Both will come out swinging in this 4 round fight.

Blow-by-Blow

Two teams enter.... One moves on!

This is a must win for both teams as I predict the winner goes on a run for the playoffs, while the loser falls short.

Low Blows

I predict (again) in week 3 there will be much talk over dirty play and Re-refs letting our opponents take cheap shots at Cam and Smitty.

The Comeback Kid

There has been much talk about Kuechly being invisible for the first two weeks. I predict this week he comes back into the ring with great play and possible a turnover (INT, FF, FR).

Nice Foot Work

Our running game will be at it's best with huge runs from both Stew and Cam, getting the crowd pumped!

Absorbing Blows

Cam will suffer a INT, but for the first time, we will recover nicely and play harder.

Fly Like A Butterfly, Sting Like A Bee

Smitty's tenacity will be at a all time high. He will be in the zone and won't take much abuse from the Giants D. Keep an eye out for a lot of pushing and shoving after the whistle, as well as some huge plays from 89.

THE MATCH

Down For The Count

The first half won't be as pretty as we would all like as the Giants will look like the better team having the lead at the half.

Rope-A-Dope

I see the Giants having the lead going into the 4th. But sure enough the Panthers make a run to catch up. This game will come down to the last 2 mins.

Knock Out Blow

Just when Eli and the Giant look like they could take back the lead, a big stop buy our D seals the deal for the win.

PANTHERS WIN 24-20

AFTERMATH

True Contenders

After the Panthers get the victory, the media will finally start to talk about us as a true contender. But don't expect to be seen as more than a Feather-weight team until after the BYE.

"n" and "i" in the word "Night" are too close together - needs more tracking

but well done

Nothing sucks worse than when a poster spends some time really contributing here just to have some dork nit pick his work right away. You want your money back?

Great post. Much appreciated.

It's always an honor getting some praise from the almighty Zod. I can take the negativity of the Huddle in stride. It's those people who are the ones yelling at me to sit down after we make a big play. I'm here to bring enjoyment to the Huddle, the same the Panthers bring enjoyment to my life on Sundays (Thursday this week).

    • I've already got $500 he throws for under 125.
    • That and so many top tier WRs have had major injuries.
    • uh..... no. I'm sure people will take this as me just pushing to draft T-Mac still, but it's not, we BADLY need a true outside #1 WR, whether it's my guy or someone else, it's a HUGE need, especially since we're not going to have an elite QB next year, we need to get the pass catching options to improve our QB play, no matter who that ends up being. I love the potential of XL and even Coker, but if you would take your Panthers fandom goggles off for a moment and look at it objectively, our two leading returning WRs for next season hav 284 and 263 yards through 10 games.   I don't care how good or bad the QB play is, that's a bottom 5 WR room in the NFL, if even that high.  Off the top of my head, the Browns, Patriots, and Raiders are the only teams with a worse WR situation going into next year as of right now (there could be others, but I haven't actually thought about it). XL's ceiling is likely as a lower end #1, but that would make him an elite #2.  I've likened him more as the Waddle/Higgins than the Tyreek/Chase (in terms of role as the Robin to Batman, not style of play) Coker, while we all think he can turn into something, is nowhere near good enough to go into next season as our #2 to XL's #1.  Realistically XL should be the #2 with Coker being the #3, and that still could be asking a lot from Coker at this point in his career. In today's NFL, you're not going to win many games with below average QB play and XL/Coker as your top two WRs, it's nowhere near good enough to be competitive over the course of a season.
