Giants Match-up Discussion

It seems favorable but the Giants are consistently a team that seems to pull games outta there ass...so here's what we've got:

-Eli is playing like Eli. Turnover prone but makes the drives and scores when needed. Diehl is hurting but they have Beatty ...I want CJ to have a big game. D'wanron: keep it up

-Martellus Bennett could pose a threat to us but we just dealt with Jimmy Graham so I think we can manage

-It looks like Bradshaw is out, David Wilson has been virtually nonexistent, and there's that Andre Brown who could pose some problems but nothing major if we don't completely f*ck up

-We've got Gamble and Norman going against Nicks and Cruz (these are big match-ups)

on the other side of the ball...we've got a tough matchup despite the Giants' injuries

-Webster v. Smitty; and the rest of our WRs are going to have to deal with a healthier Prince & Mr. Jayron Hosley (who has been playing very good); Tryon is a weak link

-This week could be favorable for Louis Murphy and Olsen imo

-The big obvious matchup for the game (the key to kicking the crap out of the giants) is our o-line versus their top tier defensive line.

This is a game where we should be happy to have a mobile QB. Their run-d however has been vulnerable despite being sack machines and great at getting constant pressure. DeMarco Murray ran over them and Martin looked like he did against us this past game for the most part.

What areas give you confidence? Which areas do we really have to step up? Which players need to step up?

Don't want to see Cam running the ball as much as he did against the Saints. Really pick his spots. Their defense is way more athletic. I don't want him hurt. I want to see him throw the ball on them like Freeman and Romo did. Their secondary is one that can be abused.

I think that Cam running the ball vastly improves our offense. I really think that it can't be ignored...he needs to run out of the option and/or scramble when he has an opening. We need him to be a yards and first down machine. Whether its via run or pass...he needs to rack up yards. Our offense fires on all cylinders when he's running wild. It opens everything up and I think their secondary is very weak. Cam will be able to pick them apart with our guys.

We really need to have our short passing game / screens working vs the Gmen front 4. We need to counter their pressure. We do that and I think it's a W for us.

The Giants are a much better team than the Saints. Plus they are much better coached and much better organized. I think we can win it, but I just don't feel good about this game.

They are a much better team, but their defense still has holes. I think our receivers can take advantage of this secondary on Thursday and we should be able to run the ball pretty well. Their o-line is also kinda mediocre, as long as we can get pressure on Eli then well slow down that passing attack

Yeah this game makes me nervous as well. They're a little more banged up than us, which sucks because I'd rather beat them at full strength, but we know as well as any team in the league that injuries are a part of the game, and for once things are favorable in one of our match-ups.

That being said, Eli's monster day vs TB scares the poo out of me. Hopefully Norman can do his thing. I think Gamble will keep doing what he's been doing, but Norman will have a big test for him.
