They need him to be a good quarterback, he needs to play well. Drafting another quarterback would set this team back years, and we have holes all over the roster. The best-case is that he plays well enough for us to trade back in the first round and acquire several picks. Because of all this, as long as he is not awful, they are going to play him. That said, I can't tell you what Canales and Morgan are thinking. They may want to bring in their own guy, and I can understand that too. -
It depends how you define "Pan out", if you mean by serviceable then they need to trade him. If you think he is still capable of being a top 10 qb one day then that's a reason to keep him. The panthers didn't draft bryce to be serviceable, they drafted him to be significantly more than that. Being serviceable doesn't guarantee you anything in the nfl. Serviceable is honestly just being a good backup. -
