Meow's Week 2 Photoshopped Predictions

I'll be the first to admit I was "a little" off about my week 1 predictions. I don't think any of us saw that coming. But it's a new week and thus... time for my Week 2 Photoshopped Prediction!

week_2_by_eastcoastsurfer12-d5eke51.jpg

With week 1 in the books, both teams now have a big "ostrich egg" in the win column. Both teams will be "pecking" at each others eyes for a win here. "Feathers" will fly! Both will want to "run" up the score. Losing's for the "birds", and neither team wants to be at the NFCS "nest".

Ok, ok.... Enough puns.

The game will start off fast with whoever gets the ball first scoring a touchdown, which will eat up much of the clock. When the other team gets the ball, they will try hard to respond but in the end, punt it away. A turn over on the next drive will result in a scoring drive to make it 7-7.

In the 2nd quarter the Panthers D steps it up in the redzone to keep the saint to just 3 points. And our offense goes wild. Scoring a quick TD with our run game back in tact, it will open up some deep plays for Cam. The half ends with a FG to make it 17-10.

Being down at the half, the Saints**** come out hard and puts up a quick 7. Their D also forces a punt, resulting in another touchdown drive. Late in the 3rd, the Panthers crowd starts to calm but after a big run by Cam for a tough 3rd down conversion the fire is burning once more.

We continue the drive into the 4th, resulting in a big TD pass to Smitty!!! Brees* get the ball back just to throw an INT in the middle of the drive. Cam & Co. take the field still pumped but get stalled by penalties and have to punt. The Saints**** come out in the no-huddle and make a quick 7 to take the lead.

With 4 mins left, the hungry Panthers take the field. With the final minutes ticking off the clock, we march down the field and produce 7 to get our lead back! The Saints**** don't have enough time on the clock and are forced to throw it deep... which... is picked off by our D to end the game

Panthers win in a photo finish 34-31.

The news will cover the downfall of the Saints**** while we get over looked. Which will be fine because that next Thursday Night they will know who we are when we put down the crumbling Giants!

"Hunger Panthers" is that a future title for another one of those books?

Nice creative writing, but if we score on the final drive, it would be a first in a very long time, since like the Jake days.

Thanks for pointing that out... Fixed**

And I believe as bad as both teams want this win, it will come down to a final drive score. And I think we won't it a little bit more due to last years meetings and bounty gate.

This is a very reasonable scenario. If anything though, I think we might pull away with the win earlier with the way the Saints** Offense played last week. Then again they could say the same thing about our O. I think our problems are correctable though, while theirs go a little deeper.

amen.

Saints* are really going to be missing payton this year. payton better hope that this is the case otherwise there's no real need for him.

    • I've already got $500 he throws for under 125.
    • That and so many top tier WRs have had major injuries.
    • uh..... no. I'm sure people will take this as me just pushing to draft T-Mac still, but it's not, we BADLY need a true outside #1 WR, whether it's my guy or someone else, it's a HUGE need, especially since we're not going to have an elite QB next year, we need to get the pass catching options to improve our QB play, no matter who that ends up being. I love the potential of XL and even Coker, but if you would take your Panthers fandom goggles off for a moment and look at it objectively, our two leading returning WRs for next season hav 284 and 263 yards through 10 games.   I don't care how good or bad the QB play is, that's a bottom 5 WR room in the NFL, if even that high.  Off the top of my head, the Browns, Patriots, and Raiders are the only teams with a worse WR situation going into next year as of right now (there could be others, but I haven't actually thought about it). XL's ceiling is likely as a lower end #1, but that would make him an elite #2.  I've likened him more as the Waddle/Higgins than the Tyreek/Chase (in terms of role as the Robin to Batman, not style of play) Coker, while we all think he can turn into something, is nowhere near good enough to go into next season as our #2 to XL's #1.  Realistically XL should be the #2 with Coker being the #3, and that still could be asking a lot from Coker at this point in his career. In today's NFL, you're not going to win many games with below average QB play and XL/Coker as your top two WRs, it's nowhere near good enough to be competitive over the course of a season.
