Missed in the discussion of the first play is the WR blocking. DWill still could have had a nice run, but Louis Murphy totally whiffed on his block.

true...but the cut back is there, and williams should have taken it. the defense is already crashing down on murphy's side. had murphy blocked his man, williams would have gotten a positive run...but the linebackers would have cleaned it up.

after a wall of blue jersies, there's nothing but daylight to the left side with lafell waiting to seal the edge.
