This play pissed me off when I watched the game. Silatolu missed the block then Gross just flopped on top of Cam. It's funny now how badly the Oline fudged up. But this poo better not happen with the Saints****, or else we'll be looking at more $hitty gifs like this

Fug buying tickets to the games. I would pay good money to sit in on the film session when they go over that play.

I might be wrong but has anyone else thought that maybe the left side of the line was suppose to let the D-line come through like a on a HB screen on this play? Newton was obviously trying to pitch the ball to Williams but the defense got there too fast.

The play design was to let the D-line through, get the ball to Dwill, and allow him to our offensive line advance into the secondary to free Williams up for a big gain.

I really don't think professional football players would just let their opponent through that easily.

I have watched this play almost 15 times in a row, and still have no idea what was supposed to happen. My best guess was this was supposed to be a pitch or screen to Murphy, since he was out there with Lafell in front of him blocking- and the O-line weren't supposed to hold their blocks, instead get down field to block, since the ball was supposed to get out real quick.

The play got busted real quick since no one picked up 50 on the blitz... What I don't understand is why cam is rolling that way when they were sending 2 LBers from that side, and since he had DWill and Olsen protecting on the left. And further, I don't understand why Cam didn't motion Olsen or DWill over to that side to pick up the extra blitzer.

That was the perfect play call though- If Murphy had gotten the ball he probably would've taken it to the house, as he would've only had one guy to beat with Lafell blocking the other.

Bell is literally the only person on the entire line who blocked his man that play. Hangman fell and luckily dragged his guy with him, the other 3 completely whiffed.

I'm with the guys above... wtf is that? Rodeo is correct, I've watched it over and over and with the exception of Bell and the TEs on the left, Olsen and #84, nobody blocks anybody... they had a safety and a LB come completely free from both sides as well.

Kalil whiffs, Gross whiffs, Silatolu just runs straight ahead even thought there's no one there... was it a failed screen? These guys are better than that to just completely whiff on blocks.
