was on the fence with this guy but now im off. its time for a young and GM.

Young GM? Are you fo rizzle? I don't want someone you and inexpirenced running my team, I want some old fart that's had a few successes and failures and knows what the hell they're doing.

Young choaches are ok but young GMs are disaster waiting to happen.

In reply to the original topic, I think Hurney has done a decent job, hasn't been great but at the same time hasn't been terrible.

I'd be for replacing him if we had a viable option out there, but right now I can't think of anyone I would want for this team.

(take note Hurney haters this is how you cover this topic and others like it in a thought out manner, bringing up the issue while giving a viable solution to the problem. screaming fire this person or that without giving a solution just makes you look like a retard)

Overrated a fugton around here, but an average guy who does some good and bad.

But for fugs sake, 2 high round defensive linemen picks that don't even fuging start with one of them being cut. That's fuging HORRIBLE.

Keep in mind that Fua was 1 spot away from a 4th, so that's not a high pick.

As to McClain, I don't know what in the hell happened there. It's also telling that no one else claimed him, so every team had a shot at him via waiver claim, and no one bit. I still think something else went on with him (not just field performance) and the word has gone out to stay away. But that's just speculation.

Hurney's a good GM. He listens to his people, in general makes decent personnel decisions, and hires good coaches (I think).

So far, I'm not sure if Hurney/RIvera is working out as well as Hurney/Fox did, but time will tell on that. He doesn't make his decisions in a vaccuum, and he actually signed more FAs with Fox than he's done with Rivera.

There's a ton we don't know about how he has to do his job, and what direction he gets from the top. He's said that when you don't hit in the draft, you have to go get expensive FAs, but then he hasn't gone after expensive FA's despite the holes on defense. He's also made suspect decisions on how he's spending the team's money, but at the same time he always seems to find enough cap room to do what he wants. And he's probably going to be in Carolina until he gets tired of the job.
