Honestly, you are my favorite Panther of all time (but Beason's challenging that)...just stop.

I'm not crazy over athletes or celebrities who enter the political arena (I feel they are usually less qualified and voted in from their fame), but how can you fault a guy who seems to genuinely desire to make a difference?

Have you ever heard him speak? He's very articulate. He seems very smart otherwise he wouldn't be so successful off the football field.

Regardless of his campaign, I'd say that he would be someone who does what he says he will do (or at least try). From what we've seen of his life, he walks the talk and that's to be commended.

Teleprompter comment was pointed directly at the current administration (style over substance) and not a dig on Minter.

Good for Minter. If he gets to Congress, it would be swell if he took a running start and launched himself into a flying tackle on one of the typical pinheads who resides in Washington DC! That would be compelling TV! Especially if it happened during, say, the State Of The Union.

As long as he votes with Ron Paul 100% of the time then I am all for him.

(Of course Mike Minter is well versed in the intricacies of the federal reserve and Austrian economics so I guess that goes without saying)

No doubt. I’m sure Minter will still continue to be a leader in the community. It will be interesting to see if he tries to take a coaching job with UNCC if and when they get their football program going.
