Why is everyone on a bitch fit about the defense?

It was an overall lost. The defense did no favors in the first half getting abused like that though.

They got drove on in the 1st half, but really tightened up as the game went on. But yeah, WTF was with all the shotgun BS today?

[Growl]

They're getting some forgiveness because they tightened up and held more times than they should of had to and kept us alive, but the bottom line is that if Schiano hadn't started trying to run out the clock the moment Tampa got the second half kick off (gee who do we know like that) it may have gotten a lot worse. The run defense should be improved to some degree this year but the pass defense should scare you.

Here's to hoping we were waiting until after week 1 to sign somebody with some experience in the Secondary.
