Chud Has To Stop Ignoring The Runnning Game

who was going to catch the ball? williams is not good at recieving...i honestly believe he's scared of getting hit.

from what i've seen so far, stewart is the only rb on the roster that's capable of executing what chud wants to do.

i disagree that deangelo can't catch the ball. he doesn't catch alot but he CAN catch the ball. especially earlier in his career he caught more balls and did something with it when he did. dude's who can't catch don't return kicks. but that wasn't my point (that he's a pass catcher or not), when the RB is open in the flat you throw it there rather than forcing balls into coverage down the field like cam did last sunday. bottom line we need much better execution

that said, i think the oline could have played better and i think more short passes could have been called.

It is the same story as last year. Chud just goes full retard during games when his original game plan backfires.

I swear we were in the shotgun 90% percent of the game. Also almost always 3 wr sets. Run the I form with 2 freaking TEs and a damn fullback and maybe see how that works.

Per Rivera the Bucs were putting eight men in the box frequently. And our offensive line was just not blocking well. Wouldn't have made a big difference had we continued to be committed to the run.

We out 8 in the box all day to defend Tampa's run....only difference is Tampa lined up and ran. Chud didn't. Attempting to run us not the read option with RBs who don't do it.

They continued to run because they had the lead, wanted to take as much time off the clock, and knew that based of our offensive performance, that they didn't need to do anything else. They also had a lot better blocking.

Even then Tampa didn't run that effectively. They had a 3.6 average for the game and managed sixteen points, only three in the second half.

Than ran to get the lead....and ran to maintain a tiny lead less than a TD the rest of the game.

We simply choose not to run. Tampa lined and did it....Chud opted to impress people vintage Raider style. That poo doesn't work....and Chud didn't even go that full retard last year....only semi then.

Asking Williams to run a zone read isn't attempting to run and then being forced to pass.

If we consistantly ran like Tampa for 3 a pop....it would have at least changed what they were doing defensively to us. Taken some heat off Cam.....off the OL....given us a chance. We took. Williams, the 3rd best weapon out of that game....not Tampa.

Tampas ineffective running was a big reason why we had a chance very late. We had three turnovers, and only scored 10 points and yet still were within a touchdown of winning. The fact that they won doesn't mean there running was smart or effective. It kept us in the game.

When Tampa has only three players in the secondary and one is rookie you should pass it. Newton threw for over three hundred yards, the chances were there .

Our only successfull drives came off of passing. Had we been more successfull converting the yards to points it would've forced them to stop running eight man fronts and running would've been a smart option.

Us running with a low ypc , would've just kept there pressure and eight man fronts and given us third and long situations. Why would they take pressure of us just because were getting 3ypc? That would've just showed it was working

I won't argue we shouldn't have ran a few more typical run plays early on. But Chuds overall passing attack was the right call, that's what Tampa was giving us. And to think he was calling plays to impress anyone is naive.

Tampa's running forced us to beat them with a TD drive...and with what Chud was doing it was smart. Chud was asking for Cam to make big throws and was asking a OL to play near perfect for those throws to develop downfield under constant pressure.

Running would have prevented their DL from pass rushing every down. 3 yards a pop prevents it.

Chud never called one game like that last year. He never stressed the OL like that before....so how is something that we never attempted last season and imploded what was one of the most dangerous offense week 1...the right call?

Passing wasn't wrong. How Chud was passing was wrong.

Tampa running allowed us numerous opportunities to do that touchdown drive. The fact that we were unable to take advantage of that says nothing of the effectiveness of there running. Didnt everybody here complain about Fox and company sitting on leads?

That's exactly what Tampa did. They sat on there small lead and kept us in the game. The fact that there very initial running and passing got them the lead doesn't justify them continuing to sit on it for a whole half.

Why would three ypc stop them from pass rushing? Even when playing run defense, three ypc would be considered a great day, let alone accomplishing that while pass rushing.

A 3ypc isn't effective offense, even if you ran it three times youd be a yard short. By pass rushing they hold the running to a paltry 3 yards, and are setup to pressure the pass just in case.

Why would running prevent them from pass rushing every down like they were? bc a simple run that breaks a tackle goes for a home run when a team is all out attacking a QB.

There is a reason great passing attacks with pooty run games still run the ball. Keep a D honest.

Or they could just leave a linebacker or two to clean it up while the rest is pass rushing. It's not as if they were pass rushing the majority of there lbs the majority of the time. They admitted that there number one priority was to stop the run. Not pressuring Newton.

So I highly doubt they would allow themselves to be setup to get beat by a long one. Espescially considering they know we have one of the most elusive group of running backs in the game.
