Your one "key to the game"

It may seem trite, but my key to the game is also the key to the season, which why it's my key to the game: cam newton needs to work on getting the ball out of his hand faster, maintain his form when pressured, and deliver the ball on target. None of this backfoot forcing throws to Steve.

exploit weaknesses.

they want to use 6 DBs....beat them to death on the ground. force them to adjust and pull coverage away from the receivers and then exploit that. put out more receivers than they can cover.

on defense it's al going to be about shaking freeman. realize that his is an audition for the full time job with schiano. sure, it's a full year audition, but this is essentially his first impression. he CAN'T make a lot of mistakes. he has to cut waaaayyyy back down on INTs. they are stressing big time protecting the football with him so you know that they are going to be keeping it on the ground as much as possible to limit mistakes. don't let them have the luxury of opting to keep it on the ground. force them into situations where they have to take it to the air and then blitz from everywhere and don't give him a chance to get comfortable. just be unrelenting in what you take to him. use lots of motion. lots of delayed blitzes. drop people back in coverage you don't expect him to see and just cause confusion. force him to get rid of the ball quickly but never let him get comfortable with coverage schemes. getting in freeman's head is the key.

i have this suspicion about schiano. i'm getting the feel that he has an engineers mind. he seems really smart and looks like he gets very technical with what he does and the way he game plans. the flaw i am sensing is this...a lack of adaptability. in having an engineer's mind he's probably going into each game with a certain formula and blueprint and thinks that this is going to work and so he'll stick with it regardless because he KNOWS that this is what it takes. to him it just makes sense to stick with it. he's like a more technical version of fox. find what he doesn't have an answer for and then just keep doing it over and over and count on him not adapting to it...at least not on the fly.

Three for me...

Amini cut down on the mental lapses. He's gonna get Cam killed.

Cam complete passes to his RBs. No more overthrowing DWill on wide open screens and dumps. Don't care about footwork, just complete the pass.

McDermott should blitz, blitz and blitz some more. Don't count on the front four to pressure Freeman all game.
