Cam Gets Haircut

Brings me back to my childhood when my pop would have to drag my ass to the barbershop.

Me: "I'm growing my hair out for some cornrows."

Dad: "Boy, get your ass up and lets go to this barbershop."

Me: "Aww man" *proceeds to pout for the rest of the day*

my dad: "son, you need to go get your hair cut."

me: "why?"

my dad: "you can't go through life with long hair. what do you expect? to have long hair at 40?"

me: "sure! why not?"

my dad: "who do you know that has long hair in their 40's?"

me: "jeff beck?"

my dad: "musicians don't count."

me: "i dunno."

my dad: "go now or i take your keys."

me: "craaaap...."

fast forward 25 years to now. my dad is in his late 60s and has been retired for 15 years and hasn't had a haircut since he retired. me? i'm in my 40's and i get it cut once a month.

Who want's to go halfsies with me on Cam's hair? We can time share it.

not sure why i thought of this, but a few years back (well maybe 10) a great-aunt of mine had died and i'm not sure, but i don't think she had any kids. she was married for a while but widowed really young and spent most of her life by herself. for some reason when the family was going through her stuff after she died my mom got a picnic basket. i don't know why that, but whatever. anyway...she opens up the picnic basket and in it is some old pictures and a couple birthday cards and a long braid of grey hair with a red ribbon on it. creepiest thing i ever saw. it freaked everyone out for some reason. nobody knows the story there. it wasn't hers because i don't ever think she had long hair.

So I guess they never found the rest of the body? Probably buried out back...
