Revolution, kind of a Jerico reboot

while a fan of post apoco stuff since a middle school lad, it seems some of these shows are trying WAY too hard. sometimes you need things to be more organic and let it develop instead of trying to manufacture the context of life after big junk goes down.

All this is doing is jumping on the Hunger Games band wagon. I hate Charlie shes can't act and is just a pretty face. Giancarlo Esposito is the only reason to watch this show since hes a badass! I see hints of Firefly but that makes me miss Mal haha. Ill give this show a few more episodes since they shot on UNCW's campus and downtown here. I don't buy the whole "lets shoot in the southeast and make it be the midwest" Please its clear its not shot in the midwest and that makes me feel like they are insulting my intelligence.

i will toss a freebie screenplay im working on and if someone wants to run with it i dont care. i have 2 others that are further along anyways.

in the future, due to great advances in health and medicine, folks are living much longer. in fact...TOO long. 125 is the new 40. they may not have the strength they once did but are mobile and such. but it is part social commentary on end of life stuff as well as being careful what you wish for and how maybe the days you are alotted are special and you should treat it as such and not try to outsmart or game the system. more or less.

I thought the pilot was really good. Last nights episode left a little to be desired.

I wish they would flash back a bit more to give a little more understanding of what happened leading up to the power going out. I'm guessing that is coming in the next couple episodes.

I like it for popcorn watchability...but the bit about having a cypress swamp on the outskirts of Chicago made me go WTF? Beyond that, it entertains me for an hour (43 minutes thanks to that DVR thingy)...which is all I really want after work sometimes.

It is on Netflix now.  Actually like the concept yeah some of it doesn't is not accurate but good entertainment.  Also NBC picked it up for another season.

I could only watch like 3-4 episodes it was so bad.  That is coming from someone that has sat through some bad shows hoping they would get better (Under the Dome currently, The Following, etc).  Good premise, terrible execution.
