Center Jeff Byers suffered an MCL sprain in the third quarter of the Pittsburgh Steelers game. He refused to come out of the game. Rivera had take the day off to rest the knee, but praised the backup for his toughness.

I recall there being a piece about Kalil and Byers not too long ago. I like seeing this kind of toughness on the team, especially after shoulders have been destroyed from reaching too high for the Doritos (Oh Otah... what will you hurt next?)

yeah good toughness.. but i don't think it's a big deal. i expect him to be an inactive on sunday. 2 of the 3 between byers, pollack and garry williams will be inactive. personally id like to see pollack active

That kind of energy feeds a locker room, which is why I think Rivera kept him around. Not that he's going to start a revolution or anything, but toughness like that is being emphasized by the coach. I'll make sure to make a thread about how we should trade Hurney Badger for Dan "Tha Spider" Snyder to keep it with the usual flow.
