Took him 4 years before he got to that levee after cut him. He slipped past 2 other teams as well.

We gave him 3 years, the bengals gave him 3 and then he finally clicked with the eagles. Giving a player 6 years to develop is a little much.

Wrong again.

"Mathis played for the Cincinnati Bengals from 2008–2010. He did not allow a sack during the 2009 and 2010 seasons"

In all honesty I agree with the intent of the thread. We haven't really shot ourselves in the foot in the past and I don't think we did it this time as well.

That being said if we had only kept Moose....

Yeah, Moose....

The one time Hurney needed to overpay someone....he didn't.

Jovan Haye DT ended up starting for bucs and played well against us.

Tony Brown and Jovan Hayte off the top of my head. Both went elsewhere and contributed much more than they did here.

We had Jenkins and Carstens at 3-tech when Haye left. Carstens was better that year and actually produced 4 sacks.

Brown left when we had Jenkins Damione Lewis and Carstens ahead of Brown at 3-tech the year we cut him.

Whats your point? Tony Brown should have been kept based on what happened to the players we kept. Id say it qualifies as a cut that haunted us or wasn't the right choice.
