Not saying second year CB Ron Parker is the answer but the Panthers filled the final PC spot with him Sunday,so they must have seen something they liked in him.

Parker was waived by Seattle last week in the first round of cuts, spent time on the active rosters of the Seahawks and Oakland last season.

For what it's worth,he played for Newberry in South Carolina, and led the South Atlantic Conference in interceptions (five) and fumble recoveries (three) in 2010, while making 59 tackles.

it wouldn't solidify the starting lineup but the raiders just released demarcus van dyke.. he'd be a dime nickel corner over josh thomas, would be a good nickel over cap't but that's his spot. coaches like him. DVD is 6'1 so he's got size on josh thomas and he runs a 4.2 so he's got speed. could help on ST also. that would upgrade the unit a little. note he was cut in favor of joselio hanson

The Raiders drafted Van Dyke in the 3rd Rd of the 2011 draft and reported he needed a lot of coaching and work on his technique. Something a good coaching staff should be able to fix.

Yes, the only way to protect a PS player is to add them to the 53 man roster or lose them.

Either that or he just plain sucks at football and the Raiders drafted yet another workout warrior. The Raiders would dominate the league if the NFL was a track meet.
