I'm just glad we made a move to strengthen an obvious weakness. I would've assumed that Fua would've gotten the ax before McClain, but whatever. Neither have been very impressive in their short careers thus far.

To those saying we cut a young guy to pick up an old guy, I understand that thought process, but if you get cut one year after you were a 3rd round draft pick, it was warranted. You either suck, you have major off the field problems, or you're a major locker room cancer.

The one thing I think is important about this that does not show up on paper or even film--He is considered a high character guy--a teammate. When we went to the super bowl, we had Minter, Morgan, Spoon, and Rucker, etc. Now, with Beason, Davis, Keuchly, Ron Edwards, etc. Character is important, especially in the eyes of the younger players. Leaders win games when it is on the line--guys with weak character tend to fold.
