Like Dwayne Jarrett? I don't care where a guy went to school so long as he can play. There are guys that can make the transition from a small school to the NFL and some that come from BCS schools that can't. Each player has to be judged on what they can do. Will AE ever complete the transition? I doubt it. But, the coaches and FO apparently feel he is one of the 53 best in the Panthers organization at this point. I think belittling ASU's FCS level is a waste of time.

I wasn't worried about people's opinions, or what they/you think is a waste of time. There are a lot of trends that prevail in the NFL, the failure of USC offensive skill players is one of them, much like the quality of defensive prospects coming out of U of Miami.Yes, there are a select few that can rise above, personally I hope Silotolu is one of them. But playing on a bigger stage against a better quality opponent makes a difference.

Of course it does. That's like saying politicians lie and Romo chokes. I too hope Silotolu is one of them. I also hope AE is one of them. I think this will be his last season in Carolina (same with Clausen), but that doesn't mean I'm going to root against a Panther.

And before you get upset, I'm not saying you're rooting against Panther players, it's a general statement.

It also makes you look like you don't know much about college football.

You talking about the same "decision makers" who just cut a 3rd round pick after 1 year?

Why yes, I am. I wonder why they picked one guy over the other? I mean, these decision makers must have a reason, right? It might even be tied up with their attempt to put the best team together they can. I mean, their jobs depend on it.

That would mean... I'll take it slow here for those that road the short bus home tonight... they picked who they thought was the best person was for the team. They made an educated decision based on the team's needs and their vision of the future.

That's what coaches do this time of year. Cut the ones that they don't need, keep the ones they think they do. AE must figure in there on the keepers side. I mean, surely they didn't do it just to piss you off. They don't even know you.

Like I said, cuts were made, this is the team we'll field, cheer for it -- even the third stringers sitting on the bench, of get another team. Complain after the 8th or 9th game if we're tanking, not after the fourth pre-season game.

Forgive me, I really wanted to insult your intelligence here, but I figured you're one of those that just needs someone to calmly explain things to you. I tried to use small words and simple concepts. Okay? Better now?

Edwards would have been there in the sixth round. That is where you draft small-school projects-. It was perhaps the worst pick in recent memory. When people hold Greg Hardy (sixth round) to a higher level of expectation than Edwards, they look stupid.

I dont understand the AE hate. The guy had no control over who and when he would be drafted.I think the hate should be directed to the FO where it belongs for going after him with a high pick.He has done everything the team has ask and in a sense serves multiple functions as as a nonstarter. The guy is backup for returns,wr,and could be used as a backup qb.Someone has to back these guys up and serve a function in training camp and practice.I dont see everyone on Gary William or backup lbs.

Its not like he has off field issues like many others we have picked. The guy is a Panther and the fans should do their job and support him
