My Armanti thread.

This. Love all the losers who get bent of shape about it, like it's their life. Oh wait, it probably is.

I love how people try to spin pointing out the Amanti project has been a complete bust based on other QB conversions......somehow means people are miserable and hate their lives.

Talk about a desperate reach.

Fans critique their team. Simple and plain.

Somehow, with only 53 spots on the roster -- 22 starters, a long snapper, a kicker and a punter locked in, Marty, Coach Rivera, Chud and our Wide Receivers coach think that Armanti should be on the team and he should get a paycheck each week.

But about 50 scrubs on a forum board or two think we ought to cut him and erase his name from the team's roster.

I'm no genius, but I'm guessing the decision-making folks in the first paragraph no a crap load more about football and player potential than anyone on this forum. They probably know a lot more about Armanti, too.

I think I'll trust their instincts. There sure were a lot of folks a year and a half ago that wanted Hurney's head for taking Newton with the #1 draft pick. We know what kind of geniuses those folks were.

You talking about the same "decision makers" who just cut a 3rd round pick after 1 year?

Yea The Golden Calf of Bristol is a great QB, just not a great NFL QB.

And this means what now?

We're talking about the NFL, so in reference to any skill set, its understood that they are being compared to the NFL...

Thereby AE is not athletic, and The Golden Calf of Bristol is not a good QB, I don't care if he can break some ankles in the back yard.

Another Armanti thread. Great. You make a pretty good argument but calling Appalachian State a glorified high school makes you look like an idiot.

Good point. Appalachian is more of a glorified daycare. /sarcasm

But I do get a kick out of the people saying "we need to support Armanti, he's a Panther, you never know he could get better," because they're the same ones saying "nobody needs to support Clausen, he sucks, he should've been cut."

meh..if you under-peformed at your job you would be out the door.....corporate rules obviously do not apply for the Hurney regime even though at the end of the day this is stll a business

My foray into the corporate world and my dealing with corporate clients has taught me that the best place for an underperformer to hide is in the corporate environment. Small businesses will weed them out and expose them in a hurry.
