Pile of poo? Not close... saying that we have the second or third best DE core in the league? Really? This isn't saying we are garbage post at all, but can you take a brief moment to look at this objectively and think that maybe, just maybe this is a huge f#$$ing stretch.

so?

Thomas Keiser was tied for the lead for sacks in the preseason with Quinton Coples?

I know Hurney mentioned Frank Alexander as possibly being our 3rd end last night, but I think Kesier has to get some serious consideration. Our top 5 DEs may be the best group in the league (CJ, Hardy, Applewhite, Keiser, Alexander) as far as depth, behind NYG.

Please, please, please quit. We're good enough to be above average but "may be the best"? I like your optimism but please step back a step down to reality.

We're great at the Rbs, but then people get out their minds and say best lbs crew and now this?

Outside of Edwards, we are still very young.

We have shown no interest at showing what we have, scheme wise. The occasional blitz is not showing anything.

I am willing to go with the facts that kids grow, last year was last year. and no one knows what the future holds. I can expect Hardy, Keiser, and Alexander to step up and produce consistently at the edge. With McClain, Kearse, and even Fua making headway, we look to be on the verge of very good as a unit. Yes, I am expecting the kids to show up. Why the fug Not?

We did put pressure on QBs with a vinilla pass rush. We did pretty well against the run. The DBs, as a rule, seemed to be more comfotable, because it looked like there were always two or three guys around the ball. Again, I saw nothing to suggest we are not improving. So I will continue to believe we are going to be a good football team. This Year!

Call it homerism, call it optimism, or you can call it naive, I do not care. I see no reason, yet, to doubt the direction we are a headed.

Just a suggestion. What until the sky actually falls before sounding the alarm. And GOOOOOO CATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We do not have the 2nd best depth at DE's around the league. Several teams ahead of us... not just the Giants and Eagles.

Love Keiser though and I'm very happy for him. I hope he gets more reps this year.

    • The other draft picks have turned out pretty well. Brooks will too.
    • I'm still not touching Hunter He again said the other day that he plans on playing both sides of the ball in the NFL.  If he is allowed to do that, he won't be as good on either side as his potential and he's going to have serious injury issues and have a short career.  If he's not allowed to do it, I think he's going to become a problem when the team isn't winning as he's going to feel him not being used on both sides of the ball is why. He's being coddled in that environment with Deion and I think it's doing a disservice to him to prepare him for life in the NFL where your coach isn't a 2nd father to you, to where you can just walk into his locker room and steal his shoes like Hunter does to Deion.
    • He’s a tad behind them. Around 15ish of 32 starters in the league. He’s well ahead of a lot of guys. Tua, Bryce, Cousins (present), Rodgers (current), Devito/Jones, Minshew, Russ (current), Watson, Smith, Carr, T Laws deep ball is weak as poo IMO, there’s plenty. And it’s not like everyone is ripping 60+ers. The key component is if you can rip and maintain velocity of the 30-40 yarders which he does super well. Legit every report out there from Brugler to PFF to PFN document him as good/above average arm strength.  Eye test tells me it’s pretty much that as well, slightly above average.
