Official Cut Thread

Seems like a wasted roster spot to me if he doesn't have skill at Safety.

if he's a legit ST ace there's nothing wasted about that pick. him playing safety would be a bonus, but not necessary if what we are wanting is much needed ST personnel help.

in the fox days they would get any position depth from teams with hopes that some day they might fill a need at that position and stick them on STs until they were needed. they didn't go after proven STers and we always suffered because of it. they may not have everything fixed, but picking up guys like this most certainly is a step in the right direction.

Still can't believe Armanti has made the team. My God.

so we know he made it?

cuts aren't done are they? and we still have a couple more days that there will be roster changes going on with guys getting cut to make way for guys they pick up today and tomorrow.

don't go jumping off a bridge yet (and hokebuck don't start doing your happy dance yet...or do so we can all point and laugh at you even more than we do...in those rare moments that your trolling attempts aren't completely boring).

First off, the players who've scored on our STs are Hester and Peterson last year and Holliday this preseason, who I think will be in the same tier as the other two this season. I don't mind giving up returns to the best returners in the game. It's like playing Aaron Rodgers, or any other elite player. You know they are going to score on you, you just have to do your best to keep up, which we cam.

Second, I'm all for pursuing great ST players, but this move reminds me of the Kasay and Lloyd thing. A good ST player should fill another role as well, not just be a specialist. It's true for gunners as well as KRs and PRs. I just don't see Jones adding to our secondary, when what we should be concerned with is not letting Julio, Cruz, Marshall, D Jackson, V Jackson (I could go on) get over the top on us.

Lions CB Alphonso Smith released...he any good?

Nope, Broncos drafted him in 2nd round, didn't even last a full year before being shipped to Detroit for a backup Tight End.. most famous for doing the "Carlton" after scoring a Pick-Six
