i dunno, are you implying Adams is going to be able to fix the dropping problem he's had forever in a matter of weeks? doesnt really sound logical, like I said he isn't learning how to catch punts right now. he's done it forever

You are right, Joe Adams can catch open passes in the slot....and has already shown to be a shifter player. I think Joe Adams will prevent AE from a roster spot after some reflection. What does AE bring to the table Joe doesn't already offer?

Sure about that CRA? I'm not sure what people saw in Adams that makes them his something great. He looks small, and had more 4 yard punt returns than anything else.. Looks like Armanti his first year... I'm just being objective.

Catching the ball in tight coverage. Anytime he has to fight for the ball because a DB is right on him he loses. If its a quick throw and he has room, he looks decent.

The problem here is he is not especially fast and doesn't run overly impressive routes. When playing against first string DBs, he may not be open much.

I would rather give his snaps to Joe Adams who may turn out to be a legitimate threat at WR.

thats another problem for him in the pros. The return yards are much harder to come by but the drops remain. like i said, i dont trust him at all in a high pressure punt situation. Armanti didn't lose a punt all season last year (in real games!) id much rather have Adams returning kickoffs where his muffs wont be a big deal and he can still showcase his playmaking. Armanti might not get jack **** for yards but muffed punt turnovers are about as deflating for a team as you can get, and Adams has a big problem there. thats just a fact.

Weaknesses: Adams has fumbled a little bit too much lately – Could add a few more pounds, especially in the upperbody to protect himself from the physical NFL game, but don’t want to risk his speed – Would like to see him refine his route running a little bit more, especially if he is going to be playing in a precision passing system.

Hands: Another suspect area of Adams’ game are his hands. He seeming has concentration lapses, attempting to take off and run, before properly securing the football. His 2011 Sugar Bowl performance against Ohio State highlights several instances of his consistent inconsistency when it comes to catching the football. This is another reason I listed Shumer’s offense as a great fit for Adams, as it will allow him to turn back to the QB on screens and simply wait for the ball before creating in space, rather than forcing him into situations where he’s having to keep his head on a swivel over the middle of the field while concentrating on the catch.

Negatives -- Undersized, is one of the smaller receivers in this draft and can get overpowered by larger corners... Ran slower than expected at the combine... Never was a prolific receiver at Arkansas, never had a 1,000 yard season and only scored three touchdowns as a senior... Seemed to disappear in big games, did not record a catch against Texas A&M, had three catches against LSU, and five catches for 22 yards in the Cotton Bowl... Size is an issue when asked to run block, has a hard time engaging... Has some ball security issues.
