Does Raleigh Suck?

Just got offered a lucrative job in the Raleigh area. Weighing out my options but I have never been a huge fan of that area for some reason.

Pros/Cons?

See that is the thing. I love the Charlotte area and think I would hate it up there. Would suck being 2 1/2 hours away from my daughter also. Money is the only motivation.

If you don't have to live in Raleigh or Durham then no the area does not suck.

But I don't know if its cool enough to make up for being away from your little girl.

Raleigh is a great town....glad I moved away though. It's tough to be an adult in the same town you went to college. (Well for me...) YOU need to stay out of the 'burbs they are all meh

Every time I go back I am surprised at how it keeps growing. I'm sure your son is thrilled with his dad crashing his keg parties...

Raleigh is only about 10% native Carolinians. The rest of the population is from NY, Nj, PA, OH, CT etc. It's a cool town if you ignore the Yankees*.
