Smitty wouldve open the defense up to where Cam would now have Lafell on a better match up vs Cromartie and the Jets wouldnt be able to stack the line which will open more running lanes for our run game. Lafell vs Revis? NO way.

You saw what happened? Revis on Lafell, Defense didnt have to worry about any receiving threat so Landry was stacked in the box making tackles left and right, something hes great at. If Smitty was playing, Landry would've been back there trying to help cover and his ass wouldve been blown away by Olsen all night. No 89 = no receiving and running game, unless the Defense step up like how they did

they would have either left revis alone on smith, or put revis back on lafell and have cromartie + safety cover smith. its what the jets do. if they arent comfy with revis one on one with the number 1, they move him to another guy. i'm a new york resident, they do this every game.

Yeah thats my point. You see, with Smitty in all of a sudden the Jets have to adjust to him. If having Cromartie plus a safety on Smitty, now Landry cant be in the box making tackles anymore can he? It now opens up the running game and where Cam can start looking for Olsen. Id take Olsen vs Landry everytime. Lafell is not going to be a threat to all 31 other teams. Lafell only gets the credential he does, on this forum bc a lot of us are "homers". Lafell is one of those wr in the league that every year people say he'll break out and will never will. Tennessee's Damian Williams is a better receiver than Lafell who was taken right before Lafell.

We've pretty much been everyone's b!tches the last 3 years. Except for tampon bay last year. Don't ruin that for us. It's all we have.

Our best weapon against the better teams is Cam Newton. He gives us a chance to beat anyone on any given Sunday. So even though the South is loaded...he gives us a chance because he's a f*cking stud. Having smith to throw to makes Cam even better.

and being without smith doesn't exactly cripple us either. it takes away one incredible option, but this offense still has what it needs to pull off the W without him.

this offense is loaded with talent. it may not have an elite WR corps, but that isn't exactly needed with the talent on this roster, esp. at QB, and the mad scientist we have running the O.
