Armanti...

So you can point out that though Armanti is a nice fellow, his stint in the NFL has been a complete failure?

When has he failed?

2/2 passing 11 yards first down

success

2 runs for 12 yards

success

preseason

playing as well as anyone not named Murphy while catching from Clausen

I guess he failed at punt returning. I'll give you that. But anyone should have seen that coming.

I already said in the other thread he was obviously drafted to be a wildcat passing option (while slowly developing his receiving skills as a project). not really his fault that we happened to luck into the greatest running threat QB possibly ever 2 years after, rendering his skillset moot. not the worst disaster ever, in my opinion

any proof of your accusations? why are you so frustrated that youre trying to attack me personally for liking Armanti Edwards? Does it really make you that mad? why?

2011 join date..must be a Cam bandwagoner. welcome aboard

You ONLY post in threads about AE! My join date may have been 2011 , but Ive been a PANTHER fan since i was 15 years old (1995) and have read this forum for many years up til then. And FYI I post in many threads not just one, about one player. Also I dont hate AE. I just know he's a wasted roster spot. I do hate the blind dick riding he gets. He's done nothing and will do nothing in the NFL.

And calling you a blind dick rider isn't a personal attack. Its a fact!

I understand about being annoyed by the blind loyalty shown AE. I also find the blind hatred towards him to be just as annoying. The dude is on our team, we should want him to succeed, that would mean that the Panthers are succeeding. I've never understood why people root against players on their team.

What else is there to discuss? Does anyone actually care about the riveting Haruki Nakamura vs Sherrod Martin safety battle or Jeff Otahs BMI? Armanti is the most interesting discussion on this forum over the last 2 years, that much is obvious. Just check his threads lol

Uh, I guess you haven't been watching but the Panthers are doing fine without Edwards. They'll be doing better once he isn't killing a roster spot.

As I stated in that post, I don't hate AE. In fact I rooted whole heartedly for him his first two years and told everyone to give him time. Well times up. He's not an NFL WR and never will be. People need a dose of reality and move on.

They are popular, but that's because they fill up with blind homers, who swear that armanti is the man and will turn into something special. Then you got people that hate on him and people who are realists. Combine it all together, you get endless discussion.

i agree he is done at WR but Jimmy clausen is more urgent imo....I'd rather edwards be 3rd QB or practice squad. Jimmy is scared to throw deep. screen passes and all that eating dirt is useless...more useless than edwards. at least when edwards throws, there is slight excitement. with jimmy, it seems like david carr 2.0. smh

    • I’ve been holding out on this because I knew I would just be called a homer. I’m sure some will still say I am and that we shouldn’t care about the underwear Olympics without seeing the tape. That being said…. this guy is an absolute freak. 6’3 220, 43” vertical, and 4.38 unofficial 40. And I can tell you I am not surprised in the slightest by following him since he was an under recruited high schooler putting up 232 tackles, 4 sacks, and 8 forced fumbles his senior year of high school (ONE YEAR!). He developed into the leader on the defense and was always the one making clutch plays.  He is going to be the Luke Kuechly for a defense at safety for a decade. I expect some team will draft him top 15, maybe even top 10. I go back and forth on whether you use a top 10 pick on a safety but at the end of the day, I think you pick a superstar no matter what position. I would prefer us get a top pass rusher or maybe even WR but I would be thrilled to land Nick E if we don’t get one of those guys. Would much rather have him over a guy like Jaylon Walker who is super intriguing but doesn’t have the production to back it up.
    • How is this guy still employed by ESPN?  He's probably the worst beat journalist I've ever seen
    • We could also draft a guy of that caliber on a much smaller contract deal.
