Armanti...

So you admit you're misplacing hate onto AE, well that's nice. Maybe you'll quit spewing vitriol his way, probably not though.

I don't know why you are getting all Freudian on me dude. Edwards sucks and is worthless as a Panther. Cut him. Not everything needs to be broken down onto a metaphysical level.

I've never understood the rage Armanti generates... the guy hasn't panned out, he hasn't screwed around on the field, been a punk, screwed up off the field, or anything like that as far as I know, he just hasn't had what it takes on the field to contribute... if you're gonna be mad at someone, be mad for Hurney for the draft pick. I don't really blame him though, I thought it was worth a shot at the time...

By all accounts he's worked his tail off to try and contribute. He did all sorts of off season work outs with teammates and specialist coaches. You can't hate on the guy for his effort.

not only that, he's succeeded whenever he's in the game at QB, RB, WR (in preseason). For whatever reason he hasn't even earned a promotion to playing with Derek Anderson as a backup. But Ajirotutu trots out there with Cam Newton in the starting lineup every week and contributes absolutely nothing to the game, regular season or preseason. lol

Hurney most certainly deserves some of the blame. Every time a "fug Marty" thread pops up once or twice a month, Armanti is always one of the first arguments brought up against him. It's another swing and miss from Hurney in regards to the draft. That still doesn't take away from the fact that Edwards is garbage as a panther and there is an annoying, delusional fan base of a fake football school suggesting he should take snaps away from Cam Newton.

Hey, this guy may not have worked out as a wr. But i wish him well wherever he lands from here. At least he took his own test in real classes and will be remembered for the athletic contributions he brought to our wonderful homestate. Guy failed at a job he never intended to do, and no one will ever topple his achievements set at app. and I don't even care that much for app. But he never complained and he always worked hard. He"s a winner in the book of N.C. atheletics. Good luck to ya and please offer Mare a ride home on your way out.

...why is that mouth breather still on this team?

inb4appstatehater.

Don't care for app state, just want all the dead weight off the team already.

Since Hurney drafted/reached for him. He will get EVERY opportunity to make the team/stick around. Sorta like Rivera with ex-Charger players

Yeah, that ain't me... I've never even THOUGHT in my mind at any point that he should be playing QB... and I do realize that the App fans can be about as homerish as a Carolina Tarheel fan on crack... but still, the guy hasn't done anything to garner the rage that gets directed at him. Hurney, well that's debatable...

lol you run an internet forum.

Yeah, he runs an internet forum that you use for e-drama.

I don't follow Zod blindly and have butted heads w/ him in the past but I challenge you to find a better outlet to get your Panthers fix.

That whole "you're an internet forum nerd" or "get out of your mom's basement" or "go get laid" is so played out. It's a crutch for people to use when they are losing an argument. It's the 21st century bro - social media runs the world.

    • That's what I meant when I said would rather have that kind of player on a rookie deal. Vs a guy coming off of it is what I didn't say. Again, if the team wasn't in such need of meaningful talent then overpaying a little for an older blocking TE the coach could trust wouldn't be unusual. Giving up more than 1 pick is just dumb given the situation for us tho and there is still repairing what that last cap guy did before they can hit normal opperating IMO. Spending money like the peak Saints with so little talent was not a good combo.
    • We need 2 tes if we don't resign tremble.  And Mayer is a several year vet so it's not like we'd have 3 rookies in the te room.  Just spitballin here
    • I’ve been holding out on this because I knew I would just be called a homer. I’m sure some will still say I am and that we shouldn’t care about the underwear Olympics without seeing the tape. That being said…. this guy is an absolute freak. 6’3 220, 43” vertical, and 4.38 unofficial 40. And I can tell you I am not surprised in the slightest by following him since he was an under recruited high schooler putting up 232 tackles, 4 sacks, and 8 forced fumbles his senior year of high school (ONE YEAR!). He developed into the leader on the defense and was always the one making clutch plays.  He is going to be the Luke Kuechly for a defense at safety for a decade. I expect some team will draft him top 15, maybe even top 10. I go back and forth on whether you use a top 10 pick on a safety but at the end of the day, I think you pick a superstar no matter what position. I would prefer us get a top pass rusher or maybe even WR but I would be thrilled to land Nick E if we don’t get one of those guys. Would much rather have him over a guy like Jaylon Walker who is super intriguing but doesn’t have the production to back it up.
