Disappointed in last nights game

Even though the first two drives ended in fgs..I though they moved the chains well. Then in the red zone went straight vanilla with HB gut and iso runs. I was satisfied after the Murphy TD.

I was only disapointed in the Special Teams coverage..with Nakamura, Onatalu, Munnerlyn, Jason Williams and gang I really thought the coverage team would be in the top 5 in the NFL...far from it so far. Kick off returns are worse now... So we shall see

Tutu just not making plays and the ankle sprain from Stew was not fun to watch either

I actually thought it was a good sign. This time last year, if Cam wasn't on his game, the team went South. Last night, Cam and the Panthers showed that they could win even when the QB is having an off day. If you believe those days will never happen, you obviously don't live in the real world.

When the smoke cleared, I saw a team that stepped up and didn't sit and let their QB do it all like last season. I have great hopes for this team this season. It seems the Panthers are willing to not chuck it in as soon as things don't go their way.

To a degree it could of been smart.

1. maybe he thought he was down

2. The Jets went after his neck/throat twice prior to that.....maybe a dogpile going after a loose ball was something Cam just wasn't going to do in a practice envirmoent. Open invitation for a D that was trying to put a little extra on Newton. I don't care....Cam goes all out when it counts.

My understanding is the crappy refs blew the whistle and Cam thought the play was over

First Cam didn't look like he didn't want to be the and his performance was subpar.

Dwill coughing the ball up twice

Defensive line with no pressure and jet running it up the gut pretty easily

Captain looking like crap

Gamble getting abused

Good signs was Davis looking good both on the sack and pass deflection

Luke all over the field

Wide receivers stepped it up without Smitty

I can see this going on all season play one good game then playing halfass the next

Really need to trade for a dt and cb before the season starts

Greene averaged 3.6 ypc I would hardly call that running it up the gut easily.

The first string defense allowed 9 points I will take that any day.

WRs didn't make a single catch against a starting CB. Couldn't get open.

They could only make plays against the nickel or S. Not suggesting they should of made lots of plays....but that is why we are still a 1 man WR corp

There are not a whole lot of #2 or #3 receivers in the NFL that can beat the best CB tandem in the league without there #1 to draw some coverage.

Jets were giving them one on one coverage. Smitty couldn't of made it better. They couldnt get open against Cromartie in one on one.

Right so a #2 is supposed to get open against a pro bowl corner without his #1.

Smith would have altered the coverage (drawn the safety out of the middle and allowed Olsen a heyday) Revis himself has admitted in the past he is the hardest receiver he has ever had to cover.

It all starts with Chico... I'm glad I was wrong about him. I wanted us to go OC, not DC again, but he's put a backbone in our guys that was missing from the prior regime. RR is the man.

Preseason is a display of raw talent. It has it's purpose

Good thing they have preseason to get that stuff worked out.

IIRC Cam did not look all that special last year in preseason.

Don't think we will see the same play selection when the games count.

just thought those two comments were interesting.
