Disappointed in last nights game

First Cam didn't look like he didn't want to be the and his performance was subpar.

Dwill coughing the ball up twice

Defensive line with no pressure and jet running it up the gut pretty easily

Captain looking like crap

Gamble getting abused

Good signs was Davis looking good both on the sack and pass deflection

Luke all over the field

Wide receivers stepped it up without Smitty

I can see this going on all season play one good game then playing halfass the next

Really need to trade for a dt and cb before the season starts

Pre-Season.

offense was without smitty and barely had the playbook opened up and still managed to do pretty much whatever it wanted. you could tell they scaled things back quite a bit....and they did it against the jets D. if both teams were going full bore i expect we'd see the same outcome.

the defense did exactly what they were supposed to do... keep the other team from scoring TDs.

what's not to like? that game did absolutely nothing to dampen my expectations for this year. i mean did people expect us to blow the Jets D out of the water and shut the jets offense completely down (rather than just make them impotent)?

Yes, they did expect a blow out. They played exactly as I thought they would This won't be an issue with this team come Sept 9 when we stomp Tampa 40-0.

WRs didn't make a single catch against a starting CB. Couldn't get open.

They could only make plays against the nickel or S. Not suggesting they should of made lots of plays....but that is why we are still a 1 man WR corp

Rayzor you hit the key to the offensive sluggishness and they best be finding someone to replace Smitty because when he is not there, it's obvious what happens...been that way for years.

I guess I just wanted to see some offensive 'want to' from someone not named Smith.

Newton had no one open except Olsen here and there, seemed like anyway.

On the bright side, Baby Jesus didn't walk on water last night.

The only thing I didn't like was the lack of communication between Kalil and Amini. When they got on their guys they were fine but they were often not on the same page. Chipping blocks to the other guy who was occupied, both sliding to protect the same side... they just looked confused at times. When Cam had protection he looked great, when he didn't it was ugly, especially with the amount of pressure he was feeling up the middle.
