Grilled goat cheese and caramelized onion pita flatbread for appetizers, salads, pistachio salmon and/or lemon parmigian chicken for the main protein, pecan sweet potato casserole, grilled veggies, and double chocolate bread pudding for dessert.

We're having guests for dinner before the game. I'm supposed to keep my pants on at all times. :(

I made a huge batch of turkey chili the other night, so I'll probably eat some of that.

-Two pounds of ground turkey

-Two cans of black beans, drained and rinsed

-One medium onion, minced

-One large sweet potato, cubed and baked. This is key

-Three ears of corn, off the cob

-Two cans of tomato sauce, one can of water

1-Wash the sweet potato, cube it, bake it.

2-Saute the onion a little

3-Add the turkey, cook through

4-Add the tomato sauce and water

5-Season how you like it. I generally go with four-five tablespoons of good chili powder, then just add whatever looks interesting. Cayenne, garlic powder, hot smoked paprika, crushed red pepper, instant espresso, cocoa powder, mustard powder, hot sauce. It's hard to mess this part up.

6-Add the beans and corn.

7-Simmer until the sweet potatoes are to your liking, then add them.

This poo is so good. The sweet potato is a game changer.

I generally make my famous touchdown taco dip...

Spread refried beans in 12" glass dish

Mix 12 oz fat free sour cream, 8 oz cream cheese and 2 TBSP taco seasoning in bowl

Spread on top of beans

Cook 1 lb ground beef and season with taco seasoning

Spread cooked meat on top

Sprinkle with Mexican mix cheese

Heat at 350* for 10 minutes

Dip with Doritos or other chips

Mmmmm, mmmmm good

this has now been copyrighted.. you can no longer make this dip without paying for the rights. I am franchising this out to the highest bidder!

oh, and southcak caught me up on those Turds.. that's el numero uno on de list...

I'm making banana pecan pancakes with brown sugar bacon this morning for breakfast for the family, then tonight for dinner it'll be a chicken breast, pineapple slice, pepper jack cheese, and green leaf lettuce stuffed into a pita pocket with a teriyaki drizzle over the top for dinner with some corn on the cob. Then it'll just be beer and chips for game time

Sort of anticlimactic I know.
