QB's who need to show something this year

This is my post, Just idle ramblings from the former "Sport Talk". No particular order.

Carson Palmer/Raiders: Many thing that the Raiders/Cincinnati trade for Carson Palmer is the worst trade in NFL history. (I personally think the Minnesota/Dallas trade for Herschel Walker still stands #1!) Every one who made the trade in Oakland is gone. And even Oakland itself maybe gone in a couple of years for San Jose! Palmer needs to show at least some of why the Raiders were willing to give up so much! (By the way, you can stil here the front office lauging in Cincinnati!)

Sanchez/The Golden Calf of Bristol NY Jets: I personally think that both of these guys are better clip board holders than starting QB's. One of them need to step up and make the Jets their team. But let's face it. If the team were contenders, they'd be named the New York Football Giants!

Kevin Kolb Arizona Cardinals: The Cardinals knew Peyton Manning loved to play in domes. Check. They knew Peyton Manning didn't like to play in the cold. Check. They knew that Peyton Manning would have a field day throwing to the Cards Wide Recivers. Check. So what went wrong? Peyton signed with the Broncos! Now they are back to Kevin Kolb. Kolb needs a break out year so the front office will quit crying in their beer over Manning.

Tony Romo Dallas Cowboys: To be considered an elite QB, it helps to win a Super Bowl. Past that, Dan Marino, you need to win payoff games and get to the Super Bowl. I have heard for years at how Tony Romo is an "Elite QB"! (Mostly from Dallas fans.) Now is the time to win a playoff game or three Mr Romo!

Any QB playing in the State of Florida! What is it? The State of Florida is a giant black hole for QB's? Josh Freeman stands the best chance of having a good year with the Bucs. But only if the Bucs changed divisions and played in the NFC West! And I won't tell you my thoughts on how Tannehill got the starting job! ;) Can you say, "Lap Dance"?

Alex Smith/Matt Cassel 49er/Chiefs: All they had to do last year is go something like 9-7 and win the division. 10-6 and you were a lock. Don't look know guys. There's a new Sherrif in town in Denver. If Peyton Manning can shake the rust off from laying out last year. Well, you better play the Broncos early to even have a shot! I think Alex Smith is in the last year of his contract. Anyone know the QB class for 2013?

I could include Ponder/Minnesota; Cutler/Chicago; Fiztpatrick/Buffalo; Bradford/St Louis; Hasselbeck/Titans. But do we really expect anything out of these guys? Really? The rest of the "Show Me" QB's are rookies or were injured last season. So in my book, they get a "By" for now!

I expect Newton, Vick?, Rodgers, Eli Manning, Roethlisberger, etc to have good to VERY good year.

Out of all the NFL QB's Eli Manning probably has the least to prove. (Unless you are a New England fan! :P) Hey, New England fans! How does it feel that Eli Manning is able to do to your team like what you did to his Brother's team? You know what they say about family and paybacks! :D

Enjoy the season all!
