yeah i agree totally... it's the centers in particular that have to be adept at making presnap reads and calling out assignments.

my fear in particular is that defenses would exploit campbell's inability to react to confusing looks thrown directly at his end despite the pre-snap calls from the center. does he only have problems with conceptualizing the whole of what's going to happen (involving pre-snap decision-making) or can it come down to a momentary firing of a synapse where two guys are double-teaming him and he has to decide which one to block based on a working cognitive perception of what the defense is trying to do?

there are all questions i don't think any of us can really answer, as none of us (to my knowledge) are experts in neurological disorders, and none of us know the specifics of campbell's limitations.

There is only so much a D coordinator can throw at a LT. If Campbell can get some confidence back after being knocked down a few pegs in that west coast shithole, he should be able to make up for any mental limitations he may or may not have. Football IQ is all we need after all.

Kolb has always been a QB that panics in the pocket. His eyes are always down and he checked down a lot in Philly.

After those two huge passing games he had, both in losses, mgmt held him back and got enormous value for him..a starting caliber CB with elite size and Speed(DRC) and two firsts?! WOW.

Everyone who deals with the eagles, get hosed.

Despite their SB berth a few years ago, the Cardinals are still a terribly run franchise. It's amazing Whisenhunt got them even to 8-8 last year.

The Eagles did hose them, but that was partly because Arizona was the only team stupid enough to ship off a starting corner and a 2nd round pick for a backup QB who looked average at best in an offensive system that supposedly has inflated QBs' numbers over the years. I can envision Rod Graves going "Yea a system QB from Philly this should work out we've got Fitzgerald and like nothing else"

...but even after we drafted Newton I heard cries of draft AJ Green and trade for Kolb!!

Imagine how shitty our team would be with Kolb, Carson Palmer, or Clausen starting for us (these were guys we supposedly would "get by with" without taking a huge risk on Cam).

I don't know that I would call beating one team with a winning record amazing (and that one team being the Niners who pretty much had the division wrapped up by that point).

I agree our line has been serviceable but Hangman and Bell are overachievers we happened into. It's not like Marty is the o line whisperer.

Just like Everette Brown was an underachiever we happened into. Give the guy his credit when he does well. Bell played at New Mexico, Hangarter at Texas A & M. It's not like they were on our door step and he invited them in because they are local. He (along with the scouting department) scouted good players from half way across the country.

Hangartner has looked like crap this preseason. He was the reason why Newton got hit last game and then he wiffed on his next 2 blocks right after that. Bell is adequate enough to hold down the RT spot, but I'm going to have to wait until the season starts until I say we no longer have to worry about RT.
