Jim Irsay: Major Trade in the Works

Recommended Posts

A reliable source tells the Indianapolis Star the player the Colts are pursuing in trade talks is a cornerback.

Owner Jim Irsay's comments suggest the trade target is a veteran looking for a new contract. Cary Williams reportedly turned down a three-year, $15 million offer before training camp, and the Ravens have depth in 2011 first-rounder Jimmy Smith. CBS Sports' Jason LaCanfora confirms the Colts have had no talks with the Cowboys about Mike Jenkins' (shoulder) availability. Rotoworld's Evan Silva suspects Dolphins CB Vontae Davis could be the Colts' target, as Williams is playing Thursday night. If he was involved in talks, the Ravens would likely hold him out. Why would the Jags trade MJD into the DIV, dont see that happening.

Wallace from the Steelers I dont see that happening either, too many reasons to list.

So I wonder who........

Very good point..Didn't even think about that, was too blinded by the pft article. I am very intrigued to find out who it might be.

I think the Jags will move to LA in the next 2-3 years, thus forcing a division re-alignment.

Something like moving St. Louis to the AFCS and moving the now LA Jags to the NFCW. That way you wouldn't break-up any historical rivalries, not to mention I'm sure the NFL would pony up some incentive cash to the Rams for making such a move.
