Rep was up and running for few hours today, but it slows down the site too much, plus couldn't acceess your user cpu. So it went bye bye again.

but we do need it to discourage people like you who make stupid posts, then again you'd do that no matter what. Seems to be your hobby.

i like the idea....not crazy about the space it uses but still a good idea. rep may have been better but this takes away the anonymity which could be a good thing in it's own way.

we needed something, though. rep may have been ideal but i'll take this.

Its not perfect but its better then noting. After a few weeks everyone will stop using it as much and the threads want be as long. Im sure they are trying to find a way to bring back rep but as said before it has bugs.

I have never honestly heard of anything like this before, but...I like trying out new things, so what the hell. My only recommendation is trying to make the t/g section smaller, as others have said.

There should be an arrow next to the thumbs up Thanks button and thumbs down Groan button. You click on the arrow to expand a box that shows who has left positive or negative for the post. It shouldn't be displayed automatically.

Basically, same thing as the Search and Quick Link arrows at the top of the screen.

I have nothing against the system itself, but I hate the clutter. If it went off to the side of the post then it would work a lot better.

I never understood the old Rep system to begin with. Who cares what people think of your post. This isn't high school. Can't we just talk football? Some argue it was a way to get the trolls sent to Smack Talk or banned...well the mods should be doing that for us anyway. The one good thing I will say about Rep was it at least looked nice and was tidy.

Zod, what you have set up now is a joke. Other Admins, upon viewing this, would think you're a website n00b. Really...it's that bad. Not only is it a Rep system on steroids...but it makes a simple thread ugly...and I have Signatures turned off! I can only imagine having to wade through sigs AND voting results. Good god.

If you have to bring back Rep, to satisfy the legions who crave for it, I say go for it. Or maybe try something like Digg has. You already have the "thumbs", just make the results nice and neat.
