WR Depth Chart?

If we're talking about a pecking order, then I would go with Olsen as the second option.

Smith

Olsen/Barnidge

LaFell

Various RB

Murphy/Pilares

Whomever else is left

I'd bump the RBs ahead of the TEs in terms of targets.

Flashes in 2010? He had Moore/Clausen as the QB's and managed to look like a solid #2 as a rookie.

Other receivers also had to contend with Moore and Clausen in 2010. Gettis played in 15 games and had 37 catches and 508 yards in 2010. Lafell's numbers were way way lower that year. He played in 14 games and had 38 catches but only had 468 yards (40 yards less than Gettis). I think there is a halo effect for Gettis as he was the beacon of hope for a lot of people in 2010. Had the one long TD play that many fondly look back on with Quixotic expectations.

I know Gettis is a board favorite based on flashes in 2010 but he has not played in, well, a long long time. Perspective: Armanti Edwards, Gettis and I had the same number of receptions last year. That said he has potential but I don't want to artificially inflate expectations.

The love for Gettis is remarkable. He has performed very average in the games he played and has been mostly out of action and has yet to see the field this year. The facts don't square with the slobberfest. He's a guy that could easily be cut but huddlers are putting him at the 3.
