Beason questionable for Week 1

If Davis is a go and Beason isn't, at what point do we move Kuechly to the middle.

I've been saying that for a couple months now and had my loyalty questioned. I'd be surprised if he makes it through the season.

The last comments I saw from Rivera was him saying that Beason could potentially play in the 3rd preseason game if he had a good couple of days of practice.

I'm not sure if I'd try to rush him back for that or not. Maybe let him play a series in the 4th preseason game.

If he is ready he will play. I don't want him pushing himself in preseason if he isn't ready. This isn't Madden.

The same way he was "done" the last two times he was scheduled to return.

I remember last year's camp all too well, and posted at the time that I was worried about Beason after he sat out practice after practice. Typical responses were about his beastlyness and how we shouldn't worry, he'd be fine for the season, etc.. So I'm having a little deja vu right now.

That said, this year seems different. It seems they are being extremely cautious, and that is the right approach. They need to build him back up slowly, though, before putting him in a game. No more of this having him go through one practice and then having him be a full time starter on game day. Please.
