I don't get the hate. We all knew he was a multi year project. Through 2 games in preseason he's 2nd on the team in receptions and 4th in total yards playing with Jimmy, who can barely manage to complete a pass to anyone else on the roster. We hear he's had a very good training camp. Yet he's relegated to Jimmy-time while Ajirotutu is gifted the 3rd receiver spot in week 1? Why? Cause he was a Charger I guess.

It's pretty clear Rivera isn't really interested in giving Armanti a chance at this point. He's not one of his guys.

Ah yes, blame the coach... again. If Armanti shined bright in practice and was able to return the ball farther than 10 ft from a punt return, he'll make this team. We'll find out very soon if he does or not.

I didn't blame the coach, I made factual statements. Unless you can come up with a more logical explanation for Ajirotutu being gifted the 3rd string receiver spot to begin preseason despite his obvious ineptness? I don't remember any Observer articles about him impressing in training camp.

and like I said, he's done as much as anyone not named Louis Murphy so far in preseason while playing with by far the worst QB. There is no real reason he hasn't earned a shot to at least play significant snaps with Anderson this week.

I think AE has a better chance of making the team over Tutu, but ultimately they will both be looking for jobs come September and they both will find teams. I think a lot of yall will be surprised with how many teams AE gets calls from.

Just so you know, this team is not based on what the Observer reports happened in training camp or what a few guys here tell you. Unless you can talk to Rivera himself and find out that you are right (which you are not), then it's fairly obvious they know what's best for this team. if Armanti was the better option, he'd be out there with Cam and Anderson.
