Yup. Like I said man I love ECU as an alumnus but I grew up as a Carolina fan and will raise my kids as Carolina fans.

Maybe they'll do what you were unable to accomplish, actually be intelligent enough to get into the school they love. Or maybe they'll have to settle for ECU and like you, become bitter toward all small state school. I can only imagine the shame

I hope AE gets cut tomorrow but we've seen in the past the reluctancy from Marty to give up on a guy who he traded for in the draft. Eric Shelton basically quit. Jarrett drank himself off the team. Honestly, I'm surprised Brown still isn't on the team lol.

The Panthers will prob keep what, 6 WRs?

Smith

LaFell

Murphy

Gettis - PUP?

Joe Adams

Pilares

And then Edwards?

We've also heard that Darrell Green's kid had a great camp. Also, Cam's boy Adams was with the team last year.

There's a clusterfug at WR on this team and if Edwards makes the team I don't think I can honestly say I'll be surprised. Same if he's cut.

It looks like both ECU and ASU are rebuilding this year. May be a better game than you think. Best of luck to ECU against UNC, I have family that are Pirates and I follow their program and will be pulling for them to beat the Heels.

ECU is not going to beat Carolina in FB this season.

Like I said earlier, I'm a fan of both schools but this is probably a game I'm better off watching at the house.

Now, to actually return to the topic, the cut down schedule is this:

  • Monday, August 27th by 4pm (EST) – Active Roster – (75).
  • Friday, August 31st by 9pm (EST) – Active/Inactive Roster – (53).

So, probably nobody will get cut tomorrow, but some will definitely be cut by Monday.

my room mate went to Western and is all about this "rivalry". It's the most pathetic, irrelevant rivalry I've ever been exposed to.

As a UNC football fan, there isn't a single program in the state that you can talk down on. Not one.

Should seriously just ban people that keep making the same threads and some of which have been locked. We are Panther Fans. We all like different colleges and athletes. We are human so ultimately, nobody is going to convince anybody else to change their stance on this issue.The kid came from App State, which happens to be located in NC, which also is part of the reason these threads keep popping up. If he came from Mcneese State or some other FCS school, then his school would never be brought into discussion over and over. It doesn't matter if the kid came from Swannanoa College of Toilet Bowl Cleaning or Florida, as long as the player can help the Panthers.

Has Armanti done anything to warrant a spot? No

Do I want to see the kid succeed? Yes, because He is a Panther currently and by doing so OUR Panthers will succeed.

No matter what is said on this board, the decision comes down to Hurney, Rivera, and the position coaches. Dragging the same topic out over 100+ pages in 6-7 different threads is pointless. We have to live with the choices our coaches make and go from there supporting our Panthers.

App fans, one simple question for you:

Does Armanti Edwards make the final roster?

No and I have come to accept that (but I would be ecsatic if he made it and above all earned his spot) Doesn't mean that I don't want to see him get PT in these pre-season games and show something so another team picks him up and hopefully it all clicks for him.
