Just bought myself an IPad (3rd Gen)

Bought it brand new, and just got it out of the box.

I spent a grip, and also purchased a 2 yr service plan through AAFES that covers drops, spills, cracks... The whole 9.

I got the 64 GB WiFi version (black)

Anyways, so those of you who have had iPads, I'm looking for all the "must have" apps.

Sports, games, you name it.

I also have an 18 month old son, so if any of you parents out there have good apps for the little ones that are educational at such a young age that would be great.

I will of course be googling them, but personal suggestions would be great as well.

I've had every iPhone released, so I'm not new, but this is my first iPad.

Thanks in advance for suggestions. Posts in this thread and PM's greatly appreciated.

Buy a hard case for it. Spend extra money, buy the screen protector from best buy. Buy the apple smart cover, dont go cheap...

Case is a must as is a screensaver. Id buy them online as you would save like 50-70% off of retail pricing.

*something of note: I would not reccomend using the ipad charger on an Iphone..Apple says it is safe but since i have been doing it my Iphone battery is all messed up and drains instantly.

Has there been a workaround for the whole "buying apps" from the iStore yet?

Not that I know of. Every now and again I plug in coupon codes or gift card redeems that I find online. They rarely work but I used one the other day and it got me $50 credit on my iTunes account. I tried it for my wife literally 5 min later and it didn't work for her.

Tips to posting on the huddle from an iPad:

To quote, click multi quote, more reply options, and you're ready to roll

To embed yt vids, have to go to yt desktop page, get the vid id, and manually insert it in like the old days. [yt]blahblahblah then end it.

Pics are the same way unless you can find em on photobucket.

My preschooler plays a game called agnitus. It's learning based and will email you how your child is progressing.
