I think he could be a very good punter for us. Looks real solid out there. Hopefully we won't be punting much, but from what I've seen it's hard to believe he was rarely mentioned along with the Drew Butler's and Bryan Anger's in the draft.

Nortman might get beat out by Harris,

If it's anywhere close to even, Nortman will get the job simply based on youth and the fact we used a draft pick on him.

I agree. I want Nortman to be the better of the 2, but he hasn't. He will likely get the nod b/c he was drafted, but that & age is the only reasons if he does (at this point anyway..still 2 games left in which to assess).

I don't think Nortman will make it. Harris is better at angling the ball. Nortman kicked one out of the endzone yesterday when he could've angled it inside the 10. That didn't help his case.

I think that since we wanted a punter we should've picked the guy with the higher average, Drew Butler, since that's pretty important.

He even had a year average of 48.1. That's amazing.

I believe you can teach angling, but you can't teach leg power.

They both have the leg power. Harris is better at directional kicking which should land him the job.
