I used to collect McFarlane Sportspicks. That Stephen Davis was a chase figure inserted into NFL6 when it came out. He had already been made in a Redskins uniform. When he was signed by Carolina, McFarlane had already planned out their NFL lines for the following year. So Davis wasn't a standard release. All sportspicks at the time were made with home and away jerseys. Davis was only made in his white Jersey. No uniform variants of that figure were made. It's still a somewhat rare chase figure. But the fact that someone was trying to sell him for $70.00+ is laughable. You got a good deal on him though.
