Hardy is a good player, don't get me wrong. But this suppose to be Hardy's 'break out' year, and so far he just looks kinda average out there.

Keiser has had a sack in like every game since the end of last season, this kid deserves a shot with the starters. Alexander looks very solid too.

Folks tend to look at things in a personal manner. Which is why opinions vary so widely.

Hardy was poo against the Texans. He did step it up last night. Without going back, I can remember 2 plays where Hardy pushed Long back to the QB. One of those was CJs sack where Tannyhill had no where to go because Hardy did well.

He goes against LTs, gets chipped, has been doubled. He did well last night. He has shown flashes, just maybe not consistently enough.

I expect last night to remind him that he is capable of doing this on a regular basis.

he did lead the league in batted passes last year.. but Hardy sucks. he only had 4 sacks and 17-20 QB hurries (depending on the source)...

IMO Hardy does a good job of applying pressure. He rarely closes in for the sack. His weakness is defending the run. As I said earlier its too early in his career and he has done enough to continue starting at this point. I think everyone can agree that they would like to see a better overall performance out of him this year than last year. If he replicates last year it should not be deemed a success.

Since when were there only two options when discussing a player? There is a lot of room to exist in between great and should be cut.

Peppers could disappear against fuggin Wayne hunter as well, he only played when he wanted too but when he did he could beat any OT he wanted to.

This is true about Peppers, I'm just saying it's hard to judge Hardy based upon a preseason performance lining up against one of the best tackles in all of football... especially when our Dline collectively had a great game.
