Cam Newton to play whole half against Dolphins

Here's what the 1st team defense did against a powerful Texans' offense...

• allowed 1 drive on maybe 3 big plays, but ultimately got a key stop on the goal line
  
• created a quick turnover on a forced fumble by Keek, recovered by Martin
  
• got another quick turnover with a pick by Phillips
  

I don't understand those that think our 1st team D played poorly.

Our worst players even showed up. Martin the opportunist(I swear every one of his picks comes off a tipped ball) got the recovery as you mentioned. Munnerlyn got the pressure that caused the hurried throw that was picked by phillips. Fua did a great job re-directing the double on Kuechly's goal line stop.

Can only get better when Beason comes back and Norman locks down the # 2 job.

I don't get it either. I thought our first team D looked awesome. Our kick coverage team and reserves looked like crap for the most part. Our first team defense and offense should be pretty good.

I'm going to go ahead and predict that he and the offense are going to be working on specific things and not really focusing on the outcome, causing lackluster numbers and a huddle meltdown that calls for Cam being cut and Rivera and Chud fired.

Im glad someone else understands how rivera runs his preseason games....seems like they had QBs work on certain aspects of the game each preseason game they played...

This is usually the case.

Game 3 they will play almost 3 quarters. It's always been this way. Game 4 one series.

I hope we alternate WR's so they can show what they have with Cam at QB. Smitty should not play no-longer than a half.

Kuechly isn't being groomed for MLB, so I assume he's the replacement for Davis, since Anderson has to start. Who's the guy that can step in if Beason can't be Beason?

I thought they should've drafted two LBs before the Draft just as a point of emphasis. Still think they should've.
