I really did not see us "toe to toe" with the Texans. Despite being tied at half, O thought the Texans looked loke a playoff team and we looked like a 6 win team. They turned the ball over twice, otherwise the halftime score would have been 20-6 or worse. sure you can give our defense credit for causing the turnovers but, it seems to me that there are really only 2 things that will happen when the other team has the ball: they score or turn it over. We can't continue like this. We MUST force teams to punt the ball. I don't think Texas punted the entire first half. Plus, we need to turn those TOs into TDs not mere FGs.

Overall I was quite seriously disappointed with the Panthers' showing last night. Not in terms of losing, but I didn't see anything that makes me think we have improved in any phase of the game.

In terms of wins, I wasn't predicting 12 or 13, but I thought we could win 10. Now I have serious doubts.

Anyone who thinks that a preseason game gives any indication as to how the team will perform during the regular season is fooling themselves. Preseason is mostly about judging individual performance.

The results of this game are completely irrelevant irt whether we will get 6 wins or 12.

The Panthers looked great in that 1st quarter with the starters out there. Cam was great and those guys were rolling. I agree with Kalil this team is going to win the Super Bowl. Then I woke up and watched that 1st quarter. :huh:

The starters gave up 3 points despite Houston having the ball in good field position.

The majority of yards and points scored by Houston was on special teams and by 3rd stringers who are likely not to be on the 53 man roster.
