this is so true.. I fully expect the knee-jerk fans to blow a gasket on some Sundays and then praise him as Allah the next.. that's usually how it works... except those knee-jerk fans who typically need something to hate.

Just as Smitty was so exciting as a returner, he also had some notorious muffs and F ups - the one against Tampa comes to mind. I'm willing to take the good with the bad, we need that kind of ex-factor back there. We haven't had that kind of excitement since Smitty was the return man.

How awesome would it be to have a guy other teams avoid punting to on top of this potent offense? I love it.
