PreSeason Game #1: Panthers/Texans

Is it some rule that Carolina has to play 3-4 Ds in the preseason? I hate that. They spend all camp playing 4-3 looks in general and then go into preseason games where they face 3-4 Ds with no prep work.

better to get exposed to it in preseason first vs seeing it in regular season first

They run against a 4-3 defense every day at practice. The more reps they can get vs. 3-4 defenses in pre-season the better.

I honestly think that our new writer retarded out and got that backwards. AE is currently first on PR and Pilares is first on KR. It has to be, otherwise it's just fuging nuts that it would be switched like that.

Edwards and Kealoha Pilares look to be the main options for the return teams. Pilares is listed first and kickoff while Edwards is first on punt returns.

It won't be updated for a little while. The panthers.com depth chart doesn't even have Louis Murphy listed at all, so you know it's not current.

It was not up earlier. It has Nate Ness on their so it is current. Someone just dropped the ball and omitted Murphy.

About preparation. They don't prep for the game....so they don't practice blocking leading up to it. So they spend weeks blocking 4-3 looks and then are expected to suddenly block 3-4 looks all night with no warm up. Don't like it. Never have.

Also, that starting lineup isn't about who will start week 1 as it is who needs reps. Davis is the starter bc he will see one series and Luke will spend the night working on his game....needs the reps since he will start for us this year.
