8/7 Training Camp "Tweets" Thread

I'm going to stop shitting up the twitter thread with AE argument though. I just wanted to point out that the butthurt will be strong when he makes the team, and based on the anti AE brigade coming out in force, this observation is right on point.

Ive never understood so called fans hoping some of our guys dont do well. Personally Id like the coaches to have to agonize over picking 53 guys to make the team out of 90 training camp bodies cause theyre all poo hot at their positions.

Please explain to me how AE will make the roster. With a healthy Gettis the WR corps will be Smith, LaFell, Gettis, Murphy, Adams, and Pilares. Even without Gettis, Tutu has been taking top 3-4 WR snaps and also plays special teams. When you get past the 4th WR spot, the number 5 and 6 guys have to do something on special teams. How is AE going to contribute if he is the 6th guy but isn't going to be returning anything since Pilares and Adams have those jobs locked up?

I am a huge Armanti fan .. but sorry Armanti is not making this team. He does not play ST except returning punts, If Adams handles his business they dont need Armanti, who has shown he can only average 5.5 yd per return and a season long of 17 yds.

Smith -- starter

Lafell -- starter

Murphy -- with his intangibles he will be given a spot and a chance.

Gettis -- has showed he can play in the league with a terrible QB .. if healthy he is on the team.

Pilares -- Kick returner ... returned for TD on a terrible ST last year

Adams -- punt return skill and was drafted to upgrade the returns

so how does Armanti fit in, if everyone is healthy?

Apparently I was beat to the punch with my arguement.

Even Munnerlyn had a 10 yard average on punt returns when he did them. So even if Adams gets hurt, AE still isn't even the best choice.

again, i don't think people are hoping for him to fail people already consider him to have failed and are ready for the team to move on just in the same way that most of us did with jarrett and other guys like eric shelton.

Just great, and Neblett just HAS to be suspended the first four games. Maybe he can take a lawsuit out on Goodell so he can get scared and cut him a deal.

or send him thousands of packs of gum in the mail, since that seems to be an effective tactic

right Saints* fans?

Armanti - wide receiver and 3rd qb after JC gets traded next year

What does that matter? You're saying that you won't be butthurt if he makes the team because he hasn't ever had a regular season catch?

Like I said, he is entering his 3rd yr as a WR and has zero receptions. I can name plenty of QBs who switched to WR....who at least got on the field and caught a ball.

How is anyone butthurt? He has been the definition of irrelevent as a WR.
