It really is a lifestyle rather than a diet for most people.

Being 6'1'', I try to stay between 165 and 175.

By going only semi-vegetarian and at least having two fruits and vegetables at dinner. The baby weight is literally flying off of my wife, too.

Don't know why people have so much trouble with dieting. I'm not trying to lose weight, just eat better in general, and the weight loss has been an unintended consequence. My BMI is back down to 20.

I remember reading that those types of reactions are caused by sleep apnea. Have you been screened?

I've had to learn how to count calories, and find hidden calories that you didn't expect, ie milk and fruit juice have just as many calories as soda...

It's not calories you have to worry about. The key phrase is "calories from fat"

That's what puts the weight on.

Also people who avoid sugar... Sugar is good for you. Sugar is to your brain as nitrous oxide is to a gasoline engine. Just avoid the high fructose corn syrup crap. Your body processes it completely different. It offers very little benefit to you while being stored as fat reserves.
